The first recorded ascent of Mount Shasta was made 170 years ago. Tens of thousands of climbers, including two horses, have since succeeded in reaching its lofty singular summit.
Please join us at the Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum on May 15 at 7pm when Michael Zanger and Jack Moore give a Presentation about the Past to Present of climbing Mount Shasta!
Michael Zanger is a local mountaineer who has guided countless people to the summit and founded the Shasta Mountain Guides, as well as authoring several books on the mountain. Jack Moore has helped to re-establish the Sisson Trail, the original route that led from the city to the summit.
Don’t miss this presentation!
