UCCE Post-Fire Resilience
University of California, Cooperative Extension (UCCE) is connecting community members post-wildfire by hosting a workshop series to discuss post-fire resilience topics and management options, for private forest landowners. The workshop sessions are held over Zoom on Thursday nights from 6-7:30 with two in-person field trips. Sign up here!
Natural resource professionals, registered foresters, non-profits, private consultants, and other local agencies will come together to share knowledge, resources and suggestions for best practices post-fire. Dates for the Siskiyou workshop begin June 8th-July20th for weekly zoom sessions, and July 21st and July 22nd for in-person field trips.
If you know a private forest landowner who was affected by wildfire in Siskiyou, Del Norte or Shasta counties, please share our workshop series with them. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, participate in discussions and most importantly, connect to their community and local agencies that can provide insight on topic such as: reforestation, financial assistance, erosion control and hazard tree removal.
